Interactive Editable PowerPoint Game - "Hidden Secrets" reveals what it is you've hidden

I don't know if you had a little card display game when you were small. I had a fantastic game called Concentration. The idea was that you had to interact with each other and the board in order to remove the covers to see what was underneath.

This game is my spin on that idea, hiding either a picture, graphic, word, phrase or quote beneath 12 squares. I'm not the boss, so you can play this game however you want to play with whoever you are playing with (family, team, classroom).

What you put underneath the tiles is - up to you.

However your group to earn uncovering spaces is - up to you.

What your group does with what's underneath is - up to you.

How to Use the PowerPoint

This game has some sample material inside but is a template. Please add your own content to play – and play however best fits your space.

How to Edit the PowerPoint

Method 2: A little more complicated, but better result.

On the home tab, in the Editing section choose Select and then Selection Pane. Here you can see the Title layer. Click and drag the layer up to the top which allows you to see it, click into it, and edit. Once you have what you want, click the title 1 layer and drag it back to the bottom.

Method 1: Easier, but less control.

Under the outline tab, you will find a phrase written on Slide 3. Highlight the text on slide 3 in the outline and replace it with a phrase from your content area. If you press enter, that will make a new slide. Shift Enter will let you put a return in your phrase. You will want to preview the game yourself to know what it looks like. Make sure you click on the Slides tab before you show your screen to your students.

Basics of How to Play the Game

Students answer a question for you. If they get it right, they can pick a square. When you click on the square, it will disappear giving them part of your solution. They can guess what it says, only on their turn. To get to the next puzzle, click the arrow linked at the bottom of the screen.

Another option - Hide concept images and definitions behind the tiles and they only score when they can name it.
